Pour over it three cups of boiling water. Add five teabags, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes. (No longer than this or it will become bitter.) Press teabags between two spoons to extract tea, then discard. Add 1/2 cup of sugar and stir to dissolve. Strain into a 1/2 gallon pitcher and add cold water to make 1/2 gallon. Keep in the refrigerator. (You can also add 1/3 cup lemon juice with the sugar, if desired.) Minted Potatoes Chop up finely 7 to 10 mint leaves and put in a custard cup with 1/4 cup butter. Microwave just until butter is melted. Pour over hot cooked potatoes, or fold into mashed potatoes. (If you have fresh basil growing, you can use 1/2 basil and 1/2 mint leaves for this.) This mint butter is good over cooked carrots, too.
