I am also hosting a shower for a friend who is having twins. I really like the Noah's Ark idea, since it plays on the two of each theme. Unfortunatly, my friend doesn't want to dress the babies exactly alike and wants to stay away from getting duplicates, so I probably won't be doing it for our shower. If it is something you like, you could search for Noah's Ark plates, invitations, etc. You could also get two of a couple of items (like two small teddy bears, two rattles, etc.) and tie balloons to them to use as decorations. Then your friend could take them home after the shower.

I am also thinking of doing a "pamper" party where each guest brings a package of diapers in addition to their other gift. As the parents of twins, they will need twice as many diapers, so hopefully this will help. I found a poem to send in the invitation:

"To add a little extra glee and help the parents-to-be,
Please bring a little extra from the heart
An unwrapped pack of diapers (any size)
To give them a good start. "

Hope this suggestions help! Good luck with the shower!
