Re: Need step by step instructions with pics if possible for diaper wreath and Baby cake PLEASEPosted by kathy camarena on January 07, 2005 at 17:09:59: In Reply to: Re: Need step by step instructions with pics if possible for diaper wreath and Baby cake PLEASE posted by Donna Brock on January 07, 2005 at 11:56:05: The wreath is very simple and very stunning - we made one last year. You can probably use any wreath form, but we used a wire one. Tie one (newborn, disposable) diaper pointing out, tie one pointing in (the frame we happened to use had an outside circle so we tied another layer pointing out). Cirle around the wreath, bunching them tightly for a fuller wreath. Then we stuck in some silk flowers, baby's breath, added some baby sock rose buds, tied on a pretty little pair of scissors (to cut a diaper off to use). Add a cord on the back to hang. For the diaper cake, start with a couple rolled diapers (disposable) tied with a very long piece of string. Add a flattened diaper around the circle holding in place with the string as you go. Use receiving blankets on the outside for a smooth finish. Make as many layers as you want, either pinning or basting as you go. Decorate with lace, ribbon, baby toys, etc. I do have pictures, but not on this computer. Email me if you would like them. Kathy
