Think twice before throwing suprise anniversary parties!

Especially if they include a renewing of vows in any way. The couple may not wish to renew at this time, place or in front of people you choose to invite.

My advice is to ASK! If you want to ask in advance, fine, then do a suprise get together, but do not just go do something until you know both parties actually would like to celebrate their marriage.

Also, be sure the guests of honor are invited. No one made sure we were coming until the day before, then we got an some inking it involved a church which was not anything we wanted to do.
