I had wanted to do a moneytree for my parent's 50th too. I was going to buy a nice plant and 50 Sacagawea $1 gold coins. My idea was to ask people if they wanted to buy a coin and place it on the tree. My sisters-in-law hated the idea. Instead, to circumvent a hassle, I'm going to glue a gold ribbon loop onto foil-covered chocolate coins and then pin them onto a styrofoam cone. I would've done the Sacagawea gold coins by myself, but I'm spending money on so many other things for the party, and I'm also worried about the catering staff or adolscents kids being dishonest.
