We also couldn't post on the walls. have copies of your parents wedding pictures made - it's reasonably cheap - pick main event pictures like walking down the aisle, the "I do" picture, cutting the cake, and then choose pictures with the most relatives in it. That seemed to spark the most conversation of the night. Scatter the pictures around the hall on serving tables, sign in tables, whatever is available. It sparks alot of conversation through the course of the night. At the end of the night you can give the frames to the wedding party or to anyone who requests one...or of course keep for yourself or the grandkids!
