We are also having my parents'50th anniversary this yr. To give Deb ideas on locations for her party besides the church, a lot of nicer hotels have meeting & convention rooms that they rent for parties & if you use them, you could possibly get your parents a room there for the night of the party & maybe breakfast in bed(arranged ahead of time with the staff) and maybe spa treatments for them, as part of their gift.. if the price is divided by all the siblings, then it is more managable... maybe also have fresh flowers put in their room ahead & you could all make a goodie basket filled with snacks they like, and contributions from each of you to make it special... any ideas you have that I could use would be so appreciated also.. this is my first anniversary party for my parents & I only have my brother to help me... thanks & good luck on your party...please email me if you have any ideas for me also.
