Please help me. I am planning a 50th anniversary party for my parents. We want to have a card shower but instead of the cards going to their home, I want them to come to ours. Our plan is to have everyone write down a special memory, funny story or enclose a picture they may have of themselves and my parents. The purpose of having them come to me is so I can create a memory book and present it to them at the party. My problem is I'm having difficulty with the wording of my request. What I have now seems too wordy and almost gives the impression that all we want is the cards, and not them to attend the party. If someone could help me, I would be very appreciative. The party is in a month and I really need to get the invites out as soon as possible. Thank you
