Remove all leaves. Use plaster of Paris or some other hardening material to attach to and stand up in a clay pot. Spray paint all gold. To attach money, you could have a small bowl of pre-cut gold ribbon by the tree for people to tie on their gift. There are also tiny clothes pins available if you can find your color.
