50th Anniversary Party Etiquette QuestionPosted by Larry on April 15, 2003 at 12:49:58: My brother and sister and I are in the process of planning a 50th Wedding Anniversary party for our parents this July. However, my parents are getting along in years, they don't hve any hobbies and they don't travel due to a number of factors. All they really like to do is go out to dinner. Would it be appropriate to include a note with the party invitations letting people know that this is what they like and so a gift certificate to a local restaurant would be a nice gift? Also, how would you word such a "suggestion" ? I'm afraid our party etiquette is a bit lacking in this area so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
