We went to a "barn" anniversary party the couple was married in 1951...so they had a back to the 50's theme. They had a soda fountain kinda thing set up for the bar area....families were invited so they had ice cream treats available for the kids. There was a DJ playing mostly 50's type music...it was a blast....they had the couple do a hola hoop contest....they had the groom wear and Elvis wig and glasses....they had the bride put on a poodle skirt fashioned for her. It was very fun and very casual....that's why I think EVERYONE had SO much fun that evening. They did the traditional stuff....cake cutting....first dance....speeches and toasts. But being in the barn and having the 50's theme really made the party a BLAST!!
