I've read through some of the postings and it seems like all of you are doing amazing things. However, I am new to all of this. I have to plan a party for my parents and I just got married in August, am fixing to start a new job, and have never even been to an anniversary party. My husband and I are fixing to buy a house so money is somewhat tight since both of my brothers are still single and in high school is it exceptable to ask anyone else to help throw this for them?
What is the usual for refreshments? Also I think that my mom and dad would prefer much different things. My mom would like something like my wedding shower which would bore most men sitting there all dressed up listening to the women chatt and my dad would be happy with a keg and everyone sitting around just shooting the breeze. Plus my mom's list is getting out of control.

What do I do???????
