If you're thinking of having them renew their vows, get a nice rose trellis and paint it white and use as your "altar" Later, you can put it in your yard (or theirs) with climbing roses as a permanent reminder of the day. All of the home improvement chains have them. Borrow picnic tables or 8 foot folding tables from everyone you know. Cover with white sheets for tableclothes. For center pieces, pick a glass container you use frequently and can save a lot of for vases. (At my house, that would be olive oil bottles and Equal jars.) Or you could buy mason jars. Remove the labels. Cover the threading on the top of the jars with white and gold ribbon and add bows with trailing ends and tiny white silk roses. Fill with carden flowers. Scan or zerox pictures of them throughout the marriage. Paste onto folded white tagboard to use as place cards. Run 3" wide gold ribbon down the centers of the tables to complete the look. The rest of your decorations will be your beautiful yard. Hire a couple of teens to help with the landscaping. Buy pots of flowere and bury at stratigic points in the yard to give you lots of blooming things. (In some towns, you can rent pots of flowers for this purpose.)
