Am thinking of throwing my husband & myself a reverse surprise party for our 25th anniversary. We'll know the purpose of the party, but no one else will. (We don't want people to feel they must bring/send gifts.)

Am planning to renew our vows, and may have all other couples join with us in doing that. Will have the party at home and probably just serve desserts -- with wedding cake as the centerpiece, of course.

Can anyone suggest anything else? Guests will not all know each other, so we may need something to break the ice and help get conversations going. We're not formal people, so want to keep this casual.
