I am also planning a 5oth anniversary for my in-laws. Here is an idea that I am doing. Since a lot of the relatives and friends live so far away and can't get here for a party, I am asking them to video tape an anecdote or greeting for the couple and send it back to me. To save them the expense, I am sending a self-addressed stamped envelope. I will edit all the tapes together or have it done and then play it the night of the party.
