Our big one was over cabbage rolls of all things! It was my sister-in-law's responsibility and then I got an email saying she was "too lazy". So I switched it to my responsibility. Well, she freaked! It turned into a major event, which I won't go into here. Suffice it to say, I ended up calling her to smooth things over (and swallowing my own pride a bit!), got a few other things that had been bothering her as well, and more or less smoothed it over. The only advice I can give is to remind your family member it's not about us, but about your parents. I also used the "we were raised better than this" line. =) Anyway, hope it can be smoothed over, but yes, this is an extremely stressful time. Good luck!
