Feeding 100+ people

I am planning a thirtieth wedding anniversary party for my parents at the end of September. Entertainment will be no problem for this party -- we have a bar, pool table, access to outdoors at our house. However, I have no idea how much food I should make to feed between 100 and 150 people. I am planning on serving vegetables and dip, fresh fruit, crackers and spreads, nuts, mints, a cake, and LOTS of liquor. What are good guidelines for the amount of each I will need to accomodate the crowd I am expecting? My mortal fear is running out of food in the first two hours of the party -- or having a full refrigerator after the party is over. I have searched high and low on the internet for information on self-catering a party, and have had no luck finding resources on portions or amounts of food. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
