How I wish I had found this site as we planned my
parent's 50th! What great ideas.

For a toast/speech idea....we took the 1951 "Fact Sheet"
(I think there are sites listed below where you can find 50s data)
Selected a few of the facts that were relevant to things my parents
like/interests and then tailored a toast around it...
We started off by saying "We can see why [X] and [X] chose to get
married in 1951....the read the "facts" with personal twists/stories.

It was pretty funny, and everyone enjoyed putting my parent's wedding
into historical settings.
