George - Obviously you're not that dumb if you've thought enough to throw a celebration for your folks. You seem to be on the right track by hosting a small dinner at an area restaurant. If you haven't picked out a restaurant yet, think of a place that would hold special meaning to your parents throughout their marriage. Give them a card explaining that you will be having dinner there and why you chose that place to honor them. If someone has a home large enough to hold everyone after dinner, you could host a small gathering to share what the marriage of your parents has meant to others (ie the video). You could also ask people to send old photos of your parents and have them write down some memories. You can either put these in a book - or read them to your folks that evening.
