WOW! Are you going to have it in your house? Or at a restaurant? What kind of Budget are you looking at? I threw my parents a surpride 25th in January... at a restaurant... there were 75 people, and it was a brunch. Honestly, I was lucky to find a place that was bring your own alcohol... all of the estimates I recieved that included alcohol were in the 30's per person, for a brunch in January! A better idea, if you can get the dour of them out of the house for Dinner (Have your grandparents take the four out)... then have Champagne and desserts when they get back. If you send them out for dinner at 6:30... they shoudl be back by around 8:30- then you could have everybody waiting when they returned. I think this idea is really classy and a lot of fun. You should rent the plates and glassware... and serve champagne, pastries, fruits and cheeses... If you have a nice backyard... and the weather is warm... string white christmas lights in the trees... and open the doors... place inexpensive glass votive (2/$1.00 at craft stores) along the tables in clusters. If you do this in the late summer... you could buy small glass vases and place sweetheart roses with soft greenery... simple but elegant. You can really use your imagination here... go classy all the way... you can print the invitations yourself using software programs... and really add special touches. One of my favorite ideas was to buy small silver frames and place pictures of the couples (through out their marriages) on different tables. Also... don't forget! to have a table with guest books... and their wedding albums on display! Good Luck!
