I made a fabulous memory book for my parent's 50th four years ago. I created a letter and sent it to family and friends -- both their friends and some of my childhood friends. I emphasized that it was a surprise and had people write down a particularly memorable event which they shared with my parents.I also instructed them that their anecdote should be on an 8 1/2 X 11 paper and to keep a left hand margin. Be forewarned --- many people do not respond the way you envision! Some people just sent cards which I cut up and placed on an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper. I laminated all of the papers and 3-hole punched them. I purchased a beautiful 3- ring binder and put a current picture of them and a picture of them from 1947 (laminated) on the cover . I also glued gold brocade around the edge and glued gold "congratulations" and "50" confetti onto the front. It turned out amazingly well and my parents still talk about it.It was also a blast reading them!Good luck and enjoy the process -- it's a lot of work, but
