Parent's 40th Anniversary - Ideas NeededPosted by wendelyn on February 16, 2001 at 20:07:24: My 2 sisters and brother are planning a 40th party for our parents. We have booked a hall and a DJ. We are having a cash bar and an evening deli at 10:30 p.m. We would like to send our parents on a trip (they never go anywhere) and are asking in the card that "if you are having trouble with a gift the children would appreciate your help with donations for a trip". Is that appropriate? We know that some guests may give gifts because they don't like being asked for money - others won't care and may donate. We need ideas for the centrepieces that are inexpensive. And a website that we can find 1961 historic moments in time. Also any other great ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time and support!;0)
