Good day all! My marriage is certainly not in the league with of those who have shared 30, 40 or even 50 years together but my husband is the most wonderful man and I'd like to show him off. He has seen me through some of the most toughest times in my life and I love him so very much for this. Our wedding was less than spectacular (we went "downtown") and I am dying to show him off in tux and tales to all our friends and family (many of whom have never met or only in passing).

I would like to throw a semi-formal anniversary party for about 100 of our "closest" family and friends but get the impression that something like that should only be done on landmark anniverarsies. Does anyone know if it is improper to have a big affair to celebrate our 7th year together? I guess I could wait until our 10th, 15th or 20th anniversary but I would like to show off my wonderful hubby to the world now. I am so proud to be married to him! Any advice, suggestions? Thanks in advance.
