First, decide what you want to say - no more than three points...as few as one. Then, put together a short intro -- even if it's as simple as -- "Mom and Dad, throughout my life you've taught me 1/2/3 things" Then JUST TELL THEM! Don't be afraid of it. Remember, these people probably changed your diapers and saw you through some pretty ridiculous antics (while trying to keep a straight face). They'll know what you're trying to say. And also remember, you're speaking to friends (whether it's a reception of 10 or 100). Good luck. Only you can write your "speech" er, message!
