Re: Christmas Gift Exchange Games - The RightsPosted by Jolene on December 21, 1999 at 09:49:21: In Reply to: Re: Christmas Gift Exchange Games - Any ideas? posted by jodie on December 15, 1999 at 15:09:12: Read this story for a Christmas gift exchange. Pass out gifts with instructions to not open. Whenever the words "white reindeer" are read, pass the gifts one person to the right. Whenever the names of other reindeers are read, you pass the gifts one person to the left. At the end of the story, the gift you hold is yours. Read the following story: You all remember that Santa and Mrs. Claus live at the North Pole. Now in this area there are many animals, the most popular being the reindeer. One particular reindeer is very rare, he is the White Reindeer. The Claus' work very hard during the year preparing for Christmas and so do the elves. The elves do many things, one of which is caring for Santa's reindeer. There is Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen, also Comet, Cupid, Donder, and Blitzen. Sometimes a White Reindeer is a rare sight. The other reindeer, like Cupid and Blitzen are sort of ordinary, but Dasher, Dancer, and Vixen don't look at it that way. They think they are as beautiful as any White Reindeer. Prancer, Comet, and Donder are always rolling in the snow and trying to look like a White Reindeer. Now one special reindeer, Rudolf, is very special because of his red nose, but still, even he sometimes wishes he were a White Reindeer. I sometimes wonder if I would want all of Santa's reindeer to be White Reindeer or if I like the old-fashioned reindeer like Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, and Blitzen best, or do I like the White Reindeer best. What about you? OR: Christmas Gift Exchange - The Fun Way For the Moderator or Speaker TO BEGIN: Everyone stands in a circle holding the gift he/she brought to the party. Someone reads the story, every time the word RIGHT is read, everybody passes his gift to the right. Every time the word LEFT is read, gifts are passed to the left. The gift that each person is holding at the end of the story is the gift he keeps. The Right Family Christmas Story Christmas was almost here and Mother RIGHT was finishing the Christmas baking. The hall telephone rang, and Susie RIGHT LEFT to answer it. She rushed back and told the family, "Aunt Tillie RIGHT LEFT a package for us RIGHT on Grandma RIGHT's porch. I'll go over there RIGHT now and get it," she said as she LEFT in a rush. Father RIGHT LEFT the kitchen and brought in the Christmas Tree. By the time Susie RIGHT returned, Mother RIGHT, Father RIGHT, and Billy RIGHT had begun trimming the tree. The entire RIGHT family sang carols as they finished the decorating. Then they LEFT all the presents arranged under the tree and went to bed, hoping they had selected the RIGHT gifts for their family.
