Have everyone in a circle with a gift in hand. Begin reading "The Night Before Christmas". Each time the word "the" is read, the presents pass to the left, and each time the word "a" is read, the gifts pass to the right.
There is a story about a family named Wright coming to their Christmas Eve party that's also cute and lots of fun. The words "Wright" or "right" or "write" cause the gifts to go to the right and the word "left" causes them to go in that direction. You could "write" your own version. No one is "left" out.
