i love a "come as you were" theme.... have your guset come as the groovy high school guy they were or the pitiful middle school nerd... you may even get some who come as embryos....
or....
how about an "i wanna be like mike" (or whatever your husband's name is... you can make masks using a blown up copies of a full face photo of your husband and everyone can be wearing them when they surprise him...
