our family had a "talent show" (mostly show, not talent, i'm afraid!!!) for my dad's bd... we all preformed a tribute to dear old dad... why don't you tell him that you guys are going to a "marriage encounter" or "a new age weekend" to get him out there... he'll be very relieved when he finds out what's really going on!!! a slide show is a delightful thing... gather up your old slides and show.. have pop corn and candy! if there'll be kids (or perpetual kids...) have a "red neck olympics" or "day of games" and have a pie eating contest, a pancake bake off and a possum toss... If you will be eating a lot of meals... we always assign each family or couple a meal.. they cook it and clean up after it... that way, the food is lovely (you only have to think about one meal...) and everyone only has to work a little bit!! good luck!!!
