We had a caterer prepare heavy hors d'oeures which were displayed on the dining table in the parlour at our church. We held the reception in the parlour from 7-10 p.m. So far as decorations go, depending on your room, you could have gold metalic and white pearlized balloons inflated and "float" around the ceiling of the room. For favors, I took three gold foil wrapped Hershey's kisses and tied them with ivory satin ribbon into ivory tulle netting (with gold flecks). I also printed on my computer little tags that had the anniversary couple's name and anniversary date and tied these onto the favors. Then I displayed them in a wicker basket sprayed gold with a gold metalic wired bow. Very impressive! Hope this helps.
