We just gave our parents their 50th anniversary reception on June 12. We hired a 4-piece band that specializes in "big band" music. Of course, everyone enjoyed it. Some people danced, but it was nice as a form of entertainment or "background" music. It really made the party. I put together a scrapbook with old pictures and stories which was passed around the room. We also had a videographer put together a video with old photographs set to music which was shown at the reception. I made color copies of original pictures and framed them in assorted gold frames. These were displayed throughout the room and the guests enjoyed looking at them. Have fun! Our reception was a big success!
