For my daughter's 3rd birthday we did a spice girl theme
and these are the games and ideas I came up with;
I purchased a whole box of the 5 to 10 cent spice girl
chewing gum that are wrapped in spice girl stickers, I then
decopauged spice girl color pictures onto a large mouth
coffee can, I had the children line up and each got ten try's
to throw the gum into the can. How many gums they got in they
got to keep. (I gave them all several turns.) For older kids you
could use a smaller mouth can and have them stand back farther.
I also purchased a large poster of the spice girls and hung it up
at the same height of the children. I chose yellow yarn for baby,
orange yarn for Ginger, brown for posh, black for scary and a mixture
brown and red for sporty. I braided some and tied others with elastics
to make a ponytail look. Each child was blind folded and took a turn
trying to put the correct color of hair on the right
spice girl. I also did musical chairs to spice girl tapes and the winner
got to keep the poster from the previous game. For party favors I cut spice
girl stickers out to place on large rings from the dollar store, I also put
spice girl stickers on yo-yo's, party blowers, baloons, party bags, etc..
I also got spice girl paper dolls, each with an outfit, that I found on the
web. I also glued spice girl pictures one each on a page of paper and handed
on out to the older children to which they wrote a funny caption that each
picture seemed to say - this made a great piece of memorabilia for my little
birthday card as each child signed it with a special message just for her.
I also found spice girl chocolate bars ( in food stores and convenience stores>)
that each child got to pick their favorite spice girl from. It was a very fun
birthday for my daughter, and I really enjoyed the preparation as I had to be
creative as possible as I could not find much party things that were
spice girl related.
