I'm planning a 50th anniversary too,and wanted to
share some ideas. I've reserved a room in a bed and breakfast for the
guests of honor, and reserved the rest of the
rooms for other guests to rent. The party itself
will be an afternoon reception in the parlor of
this beautiful "B and B". We will have a memory
album, which someone else mentioned. We are taking
old photographs and having a photo shop set them
to music of our choice on a video. After the party
is over, the real party should begin, as the guests
of honor and their closest friends will be staying
in the same house.

My friend sent invitations to a similar event to the
White House and to the governor of her state and
received congratulatory letters for her "Memory
Book".

Also, Hallmark used to have a computer-generated
"on the day you were married" type thing you can
prepare for the memory book.

My party is in June, so if anyone has any good
ideas for me, I would appreciate it. Hope these
suggestions help somebody.
