We're thinking about a "This is Your Life." Not doing any food except bride's & grooms cakes, coffee and champagne. Anniversary in Jan. Will send out letters with a form suitable for placing in a binder - asking people to recall a situation, event, happening - funny, poignant. Some stories will be used in the show; all will be placed in a decorative notebook for keepsake. Need ideas for some easy, inexpensive decorations, favors, etc. Found some gold candy dipped almonds that look neat. Maybe put a couple in a gold net bag with an elegant piece of candy (Ferrar-Roche candy ?? is single piece truffle-like candy wrapped in gold). Luckily M&D have their wedding and wedding song recorded on a 78 record. That will be fun to play. Plan on scanning photos into PC and showing thru projector. Haven't found much on web re: 50th Anniv. ideas. So I hope more people will contribute Something - no mater how small the idea. Sometimes brings about other ideas.
