We're also planning a 50th this year and a friend just had one for her parents. She and her husband put on a little skit dressing up like her parents and did a light hearted roast based on their habits i.e, Mom always fixing lunch at noon, Dad sitting at the table and calling out what's needed, etc. They got a kick out of it. She also did a personalized poem which I'm getting a copy of which includes events in her parent's marriage and was framed with a wedding picture on the left and current picture on the right.
