Planning an
office holiday party can be a tremendous amount of work. Don’t forget to
use our
Office Holiday Party Checklist to make your
life easier.
Timing is
everything for a party. For our party we are planning cocktails and
sit-down dinner for 75 people or more. Suggested time frame, as indicated
below: 5:30 – 9 p.m. You can adjust below for your party.
An Elegant Invitation
Carlton Craft has some wonderful
holiday invitations that would work with a more formal affair. You
are certainly going to want a written invitation for this type of party.
You can still have fun though. Party411’s Creations for You has some
wonderful holiday invitations
that are a little more whimsical but that would still work for this event.
Entry
If you are having the event at your facility consider these giant bulb for your walkway.
Place lit welcome signage above the door or at the entranceway, complete with a Happy Holiday greeting. Light in holiday colors (or company colors) for maximum effect.
Party411's Creations for You can help with all your signage needs, including
welcome signs, directional signs, or signs for the stage. Please consider us for
personalized seating cards or candy bar wrappers with your logo for favors.
Don't forget that we can customize the signs for your company.
If your room doesn’t lend itself to hanging signs you should consider a welcome banner for the registration table. Elegant doesn’t mean you can’t be festive. This white prismatic balloon would be a nice touch at the table. Also think about using one of these great table covers for your table.
You may want to use seating cards. We can create holiday seating cards that fit the rest of your theme. Here are some
samples.
Décor
Having your guests enter through a Christmas arch is a nice touch with the Christmas
lighted arch as another entry option that can double as a photo op.
The cocktail area should be decorated with an ice sculpture that is your company logo. Hors d'oeurves should be passed by waiters; some (like
crudités) should be placed around the ice sculpture. Also, put your company logo on a banner behind the stage and/or performance area. You’ll probably want to use plenty of gossamer and twinkle lights lights in the room.
Centerpieces
Use multiple tiered, candy-filled gift boxes, wrapped, tied off with bows and ribbons with multi-colored latex balloons coming off the top. Each box should be numbered. Then, a number is placed under each plate so that guests at each table pull numbers and each can take home "a present."
Table Decorations
Around the bottom of the centerpiece, sprinkle
snowflake confetti around a snowflake gel candle for a great look. Christmas pine garland always works well.
Also on each table, place two single-use cameras. Be sure to dominantly display the good photographs somewhere in the office afterward.
Linens should have sun, moon and stars on them; napkins should be solid black.
Entertainment
Here are some
classy touches:
Favors
At each seat,
place a custom candy bar
with your company logo and information all about you on front and back (even
use your business card). Guests will love this special treat!
