60th Birthday Dinner
Nov 05th, 2009, 4:51pm

I am in the planning stages for my Dad's 60th Birthday Dinner.  I need some help coming up with some fun Ideas.  We will have guest both from in and out of town.  We have a location, just need some fun ideas besides a dj.  Don't want to have the same ole' boring program with people getting up and talking way to long.  My dad is a Pastor, but believes in having fun.  Please help with any ideas!!!  The party is December 12th on a Saturday evening.  We will have a dj, but want somthing people will be talking about months after it is over.  All ideas are welcome.

In Desparate Need of Fun!!! Grin Roll Eyes Cheesy

Hey,

An idea to make it fun would be to come up with a theme. Think of what your dad likes to do (example golf, sailing etc whatever he likes) and take the theme and go all out for it and try to incorporate it into everything from decor to food.

If your father has a great sense of humor you can also think of games and such from his childhood (get the DJ to play oldies it will take all the guest back to that time).

Hope this gives you some ideas.

Caitlin,

This help alot.  Thank you so much.  My dad is a big golf fan.  he golfs at least once a week and every day when he is on vacation.  I was already going to hve the old school music for sure.  My dad also has a very great sense of humor he is a real jokester.  Maybe we can play some type of name that tune. just not sure how with so many people, but maybe we can do it by tables.  Thank you again for getting the ideas flowing.  I needed the push.
